0 Sid - Gas Mask

Schutzmaske SchMs

One of his other gas masks can be bought here: Maine Military Another of his masks can be bought here: Major Surplus Survival This is the Swedish gas mask.

Swedish Gas Mask

IOWA Mask (a): Buy a British Civillian Duty Respirator or a Canadian M-69. (very similar to the Duty Respirator). You can buy the Canadian M-69 at http://www.majorsurplusnsurvival.com . Once you get either mask, take all of the filters out and then you will need white or black clay for the teath. It doesnt matter which cause one of Sid's has black and one has white. Look at the picture of Sid's new mask at the cover of the latest issue of REVOLVER or on this website. Once the teeth are done, there is still more things to do. You will need a bondage hood. you can either put the gas mask on over the bondage hood or you could hot glue it together.  You will need to cut out ear holes. Once that is done, you are almost finished. If you want to add further details, look at his mask and get some black clay... On the eyes and all over the hood/mask you can sculp and mold on detail to make it look more like a skull. There you have it!!! I pretty decent Sid mask. If you want a better effect, paint your face all black or a comination of red and white. That is what Sid does. Sid also has a black version of this mask so if you want that one, i would suggest to paint the mask/hood white unless you can find a white gas mask that can be transformed to look like his new one.

IOWA Mask (b):
1. Blow up a balloon to roughly the same shape as your head.
2. Cover the balloon with a thick layer of paper machea just strips of regular paper coverd in pva glue.
3. When dry pop the balloon so you have a full head mask.
4. Cut the holes for the eyes and mouth (three large circles.)
5. Cut out three large rings out of thick cardboared to go around the holes previously cut. you might need to double or treble the layers of the ring depending on how thick you cardboard is.(be sure to add the teeth when you cut out the mouth ring(s).
6. Cut out two small triangles in the middle of the circles as a nose and add cracks in the head with a knife.
7. Cut a slit in the centre of the back of the mask so you can pull it on tight when you add straps.

1 Joey - Kabuki White Mask

Joey's mask is a Japanese Kabuki mask. If you live in Japan you can find them virtually anywhere, however if you happen to live outside of Japan they aren't so common. A Halloween or joke shop is probably the best place to find one of these. It is better to buy a plastic version so that it is not too heavy and doesn't smash when it is dropped. The plastic versions of the mask are pretty cheap costing around 4 dollars. I am not completely sure of how Joey keeps his mask on, but the best way of doing it would be to attach an elastic strap on the inside of the mask and secure it that way. To add the final touches you need some black paint to add black streaks onto the forehead area of the mask, under the eyes and around the mouth. Joey has recently added more paint to his mask, surrounding the black areas with red. For even more effect you should streak parts of your hair red, as seen right. Apparently Joey's mask is specially moulded for his face and not bought however this may just be a rumour.

3 paul - Pig Mask

Old Mask:
Paul's mask is part of a rubber latex pig mask that has been cut out and had leather straps added to it. After you have gone to the effort of finding a pig mask (Halloween or joke shop being best), cut it so it fits your face loosely. Following this cut out a pair of eyes and a mouth if they aren't already there. Make sure the entire top portion of the mask has a tight fit. Paul, Jim and Chris all have the same strapping to their masks and the instructions for this are below. For the finest of details add black riveted leather and you can add a lock to the nose although Paul has now removed this.

Back:
The upper portion consists of the leather strap that goes over the head to meet the ring. Attach the ring at the middle of the forehead. If you want, you can just use basic straps to hold the mask. The strap underneath the ear is attached to the ring in the back of your head. No rivets. The strap on top of your ear is connected to the same ring at the back of your head. No rivets on this one too. This one pertains to the strap that wraps around your head. I recommend measuring your head's circumference and the strap should be a bit longer. This strap supports the whole mask and is the most important of all, therefore it is riveted. It is also connected to the ring at the back of your head. You can also add another strap that is fastened below your chin for a better hold. Be sure that it fits just right.

3 Chris - Long Nose Mask

This is one of the hardest masks to make and I have only seen one replica of it, however if you like hard tasks then below is a good method. Take a white latex mask and cut it down so that it only covers your face, making sure that when you are wearing the mask your forehead shows. Following this, take the mask and cut it in half and sow it back together, for effect (see left). Now add a mouth zipper and rivet followed by a nose, which is in the shape of a carrot and six inches long to the front (sown on). Now for the back part of the mask, fit a black garment (leather, nylon or latex being best) around your head and neck and cut out a face, so that the whole face is visible (do not alter the neck or back of head area). Now attach the front mask part to the back black part so that no skin is visible and your whole face is covered up. After doing this bind them together with leather straps, from the top of the mask to the bottom of the ear, the two straps should meet at the top where the overhead supporting ring is (if you haven't got one of these simply use a key ring or something similar).

CHRIS

To make the straps (Thnx to Spark Timmy):You need to buy 12 rivets there are rivets near the belt buckle and near the O ring you need to buy the things that are rivets but are hole rivets so on the diagonal belt loops not the ones with the belt buckle on it the one it's supposed to hook on to you put the rivets hole things on those 2 and 6 on each of them now on the horizontal belt not the one with the belt buckle the one it's supposed to hook on too put 8 rivet hole things in the you have it Chris's masks straps!!! (This could also be used for other members).

A made mask found on Ebay.Cost: $19.65

Recently however the so called "Pinnochio" mask has been introduced to bondage shops, etc... so alternately you could pop down to your local and order yourself one, providing that your over 18. The top half of the mask can actually be bought here:
Halloween Plus
Buy the zipper here: Zipper plus

4 Jim - Jester Mask

JIM

For the face part of the mask, the top and bottom will need to be cut, so that just the white part is showing. The neck should be cut mid way as can be seen from the picture. Now cut off the mouth so that a zipper can be added, then rivet around the mouth which isn't as simple as it looks.

4 Craig - The Needles

Old Mask:
For this mask you will need a cheap drag racing helmet and several nine inch nails and a pair of large swimming goggles if the eye piece isn't already there. Now take the nails and point them outwards (as seen in pic), spacing them about 1½ inches apart. Use rusty nails for a greater effect.

If the helmet is not already equipped with goggles, then carefully apply the diving goggles to the front. DON'T put a camera flash on the top of the mask because this was recently removed from his mask. So to was the tube running down from the helmet.

Method 2: To make craig's mask you need to pick up and buy a black drag racing helmet with no shield.then you need to get this gas mask http://www.cover-up.co.uk/respir/respir.htm then strap that on the front. After that buy about 20 nine-inch nails and hammer them in from the inside of the helmet out. Put the nails about 2 inches apart or 1 1/2 inches apart, whatever you want. And also make the nails look rusty to make it look more like craigs mask.

New Mask:
First, go to http://www.spandexwear.com/ and pick up a black sleevless anchored hood. Make sure it comes with eye holes. Next, cut off the anchor part - the part that goes around your chest and shoulders. Following this you should add a zipper where your mouth is. To do the nose holes, take two metal eyelets and push them through the neoprene for your nose. Next, get some 9-10 inch nails. You'll need about 20- but get extra in case. Then, on a piece of paper, draw out plans on how to stick the nails through the hood- it needs to be organized. Usually there's one row down the center that is spaced 2 inches apart. My advice is to see craigs picture for a better idea. Then, once the nails are all in place, carefully place heavy duct tape on the inside of the hood, so the nails won't fall out. The nails must have fairly large heads, or they will slip through. Alternatively, you could sew a large section of black cloth to the inside of the mask - but it is difficult. If all goes well, you should have a decent craig mask.

6 Shawn - The Clawn

Old Masks:
15 years ago Shawn went out and bought a clown mask, you too would be able to do this, if the mask was still available. I wouldn't recommend going in search of an exact replica of the mask as he has now got a new one, but if you want to make/buy the old one, here is how to do it. Well, I looked everywhere on the net for a good clown mask and my result is this: (below) It may not be exact, but it will get the job done if you do it right.

Afterbefore

Firstly a descision must be made on whether to cut of the clown's hair. Shawn's mask's hair will be pretty easy to apply, simply get some felt and attach it to both sides and the back, leaving the top bald. Next, cut off the neck part of the mask but make sure the bottom of the mask reaches only to around your neck, right under your chin. I would recommend to replace the mask's teeth with white teeth. Next, apply eye shadow to the white portion above the eye, but try not to make it look too girly. If you really wanna be realistic, then fit it so it's thinner on your face, and don't forget to make it look old and ravaged.

7 Mick - The Leather

To prevent a waste of leather, draw the design onto some paper, when you have all the paper pieces perfect, attach it to the leather and cut the leather out. To make sure the paper mask will work, staple it all together. There are 5 visible pieces to Mick's mask, the forehead piece, two side pieces, under the eye piece and the mouth. Mick's mask is made of leather and has no specific colour (sprayed dif colours). Don't cut out the eye, nose and mouth holes straight away.

MICK

Firstly, the forehead piece, as mentioned, measure some paper on your forehead first, and use it as a guide for cutting the leather. Do this before every step. Now, rivet around the forehead. There are four (or three, if you have a small forehead) to each side, and two at the middle, bottom. Now, do the sides. While doing this, REMEMBER TO LEAVE EXTRA LEATHER for when you will overlap it! The top- side parts have to tuck under the left and right sides of the forehead piece. The under eye section will tuck under the lowe forehead part and the side parts, and the mouth piece goes under everything. Now that you have that in mind, cut them out in paper, then leather, then add the "circles". Don't worry about the eye part yet. As I said, don't cut any eye, mouth, or nose holes yet. Repeat this step for the mouth and under eye. Remember that the bottom has edges, and needs no riveting. Still not quite done. Attach all the pieces together. Either sew them together or staple them or if you use light material, consider gluing it together. Next, spray paint it either green, silver, or grey. When done with that, adjust the back. If you have long hair like Mick, use elastic so it will stay on, or you can use the method for Chris, James, and Paul's masks.

9 Corey - Dreadlocked Ghoul

Old Mask:
Stuff you will need.
Long round shoe lace's, 8 of them. Roll of twine, costing around  Hair tie's,large masking tape roll's, . 1 stocking it's, p. Needle and thread (black being best) Spray paint, white, black and grey, Coloured die, colours green or blue, Coloured marker. Something pointy and sharp, i.e. a pin. 1 bowl 1 pair of scissors.

COREY

Instructions - to create Corey's mask two people are needed.
Place stocking over head, while a friend marks using the marker pen where the eyes and mouth will be. Remove stocking and cut small holes for eyes and mouth (they will be improved later) Place the stocking back on. Get your friend to tape up your head, using the roll of masking tape and working from top to bottom all the way to the under chin area. Do not shape the facial features, with the exception of the chin and partially the nose where only the bridge section is to be shaped (see above picture). WARNING: Do not tape over the mouth area, go around. Do not tape the mask too tight as this may result in the mask being hard to take off. While performing this, continually check that the person being taped up is ok and breathe normally, if not, immediately remove the mask. Now cut a line up the back of the mask, slowly to prevent yourself from being stabbed. Cut to the middle of the mask and before it is taken off, mark where the eyes are using the marker pen. Remove the mask, cutting it a little more if it is hard to remove. To improve the eyes and mouth, draw an oval shape around the two eye sections and a larger shape around the mouth (see above pic for more specific details). Now cut out these holes and also a small area below the nose, to allow breathing (see pic). Spray painting: Look at the colour of the mask and try to imitate it using the following instructions; A white coat followed by a patchy grey coat and then an even more patchy black coat. (See pictures for exact colour, look at several to be exact) Allow to dry. Dreads: Get the shoe laces and cut each of them in half. Take the twine and cut a large amount of it, a lot is needed. Get a lace and a piece of twine and knot them at the top, now wrap the twine around the shoe lace until you reach the bottom of the lace, now take a hair tie and tie up the end (see pictures for details). Do this for each of the shoe laces. Now add the dreads to one of the selected colour dies, adding water to the die so that all the dreads can fit into the bowl (a tin bowl being best). Now let them soak over night. N.B. You do not have to die the dreads. The following day remove the dreads and hang to dry for 12 hours. Take out the mask and mark on, using the marker, where each of the various dreads should be placed. Take your pointy sharp object and prick holes in all the places where a mark has been put. They may need to be enlarged later. Take the dry dreads and place them through the holes made, knot first. Do this with all the dreads, hey presto, mask finished.

(emailed by Maggot #21 / Killbilly) The material is the inside of a pair of (old) jeans (low budget!) First, cut out a piece of jeans. Then, make a circle around your head with the fabric, covering your face until' your eyes, a little above it. Then, sow another piece of jeans on the top of your previous one. Then, wile wearing your pre-mask, place the piece of fabric over your head to make the top and pin a needle there to remember where you wanna attach it. Sew it together. Now, make sure everything is together so you don't see any skin. Then, put it on and everywhere where there's to much fabric, cut it of and sow the remains together. Now, mark the eyes and mouth. Cut them out. Now, make a cut in the corners of our eyes (I mean the mask!) Then sew that back together. Then attach the zipper for your mouth (do this so that it seems that it is to high; it will come out perfect. Now, use thick rope and less thick rope for your dreads, just cut little holes where you want 'em and sew through the rope and mask to attach them. Then, make the stripes with a ball-point or a textile marker. Then lay the mask on the floor on top of a piece of newspaper, with the dreads in one direction. Take some coloured hair spray and paint them (you can tape some pieces of dreads to highlight them) Now it's finished! Oh yeah, in the beginning, don't make sewings in one direction but twist them a little to get a cool effect! Now, there's just one thing to do: Put on a jumpsuit or any other merchandise of Slipknot and spread the [sic]ness!!!

step 1 : Take a mannequin head and, adjusting it with paper towels and duct tape so that it is the same size as your head, step 2 : Cover it in plastic wrap to prevent the paper maché from sticking. Next mix some paper maché (the recipe is), thin cut news paper strips about 2 ins. long and 1 inch wide. step 3 : When putting on the newspaper strips make sure to cover the mask with a few layers of newspaper and let it dry over night near a heater duct or some place warm (if the mask isn't dry take a hair dryer to it). step 4 : After the first paper machéing has been done get some 4 or 5 yards of cheese cloth (can be found at fabric store) or a lot of gauze, once you have purchased one of the items make more paper maché gunk and cut the cheese cloth or gauze in to 2 inch wide strips and paper mache them to the mask. Then let that dry. step 5 : After the cheese cloth or gauze has set it's time to cut the mask off. Get a large razor knife and cut a line up the back of the mask and wedge the blade in between the bottom of the mask and the mannequin head to pry them a part also cut the eye holes, mouth and dread lock holes at this time. 13 dread lox should be sufficient. step 6 : Paint your mask. Look at a pic of corey and try to make it look like what you see. step 7 : To make the dread lox get 3/4 in. Pieces of rope which are around 2 ft. tie a knot in the end that will go on the inside and wrap it in twine, rubber band it at the end. You make holes in the mask where you want to put the dreads and feed them through the dread lox in or tie knots at the end. Also you may want to line the inside of the mask w/ duct tape step 8 : You may want to cut the mask in places and sew the cut up with some string. Also the mask may be stiff and uncomfortable, so get a stick or a pipe or something to hit it with. This will break in the mask. Also you may want to set it on fire a few times (just because that's what you do when your bored).
